As the Mother of our Lord Jesus, Mary experienced many sorrows.
Father shares with us - "Mary has taken the sorrow of the world into her heart, and she is the instrument and the intercessor to bring healing to the sorrowing. Mary knows of sorrow first-hand. Mary understands and shares the sorrows of others and it puts her in touch with people who experience very much the same hurt and pain."
