Fr McAlear was ordained in Rome in December 1970. 2020 is the 50th anniversary and he will be celebrating his Golden Jubilee Father is announcing a celebration trip back to Italy: This is not a standard pilgrimage but rather a personal journey back to where I studied, was ordained, and celebrated my first Mass. There will be a visit to the area where my Italian family lives and more celebrations in the town where I have roots and memories. I invite you to join me on this trip. There will be time to be a tourist and pilgrim as well, visiting Rome and various historic sites, with cultural and culinary experiences along the way.
